Dwelling 1:14 Discipleship Training Event
Is your congregation ready to move from mission inspiration to mission implementation? Dwelling 1:14 and author Rev. Greg Finke are coming to the Twin Cities in February 2016 to offer the Missional Lifestyle Training Process (MLTP) in our District for congregations who are ready to make this move. Perhaps you have engaged Greg's book, "Joining Jesus on His Mission," or heard him present at a conference.
Rev. Finke has offered to make the morning part of the training on Saturday, February 13 (9am to noon) a “kick-the-tires” opportunity for congregations who are not ready to launch into an 18-month learning process, but are curious about what it might mean to join Jesus on His mission in their community through Dwelling 1:14. The cost would be $250 per congregation team of up to four people. Scholarship dollars are available by request.
The MLTP is an 18-month training process that includes two catalytic training events followed by regular Navigation Calls for the sake of coaching leaders through implementation of the training.
The process helps you and your congregation become more intentional about joining Jesus in the places you already live, work and play. It then continues to help your congregation make missional discipleship the core of what your congregation does. The MLTP has three phases: The Preparation Phase, the Discovery Phase, and the Launch Phase.
The cost for this specialized training and for the ongoing Navigation is only $3,500 per congregation for 18 months. This cost is divided between two budget years, making it only $1,750 per year. For congregations with average worship attendance of 75 or less, discounts are available. The District is also offering financial assistance to congregations that apply.
The first training of the MLTP will be offered on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 9:00am to 2:30pm at Concordia University, St. Paul.
