The phrase “classical Lutheran education” has become more prevalent in recent years. What exactly is classical Lutheran education?  This 3-hour session will address the following questions and allow time for attendees to ask their own questions about classical Lutheran education:

What is classical Lutheran education?
What are essential questions we should ask about education?
How do I teach classically?
(How) Can my school “go classical?” 

Speaker: Jocelyn Benson, Head Teacher/Administration at Wittenberg Academy, Chatfield
Jocelyn grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa, attending Lutheran school through 8th grade. She has a B.A. in English teaching and an M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. She also completed three and a half years of doctoral work in Educational Psychology with emphasis in Technology and Education and History/Foundations of Education at the University of Iowa.
