Step 1: Conference Lodging Reservations
Conference LODGING RESERVATIONS at MADDENS are for those attending who would like to stay at Maddens on Gull Lake. The package includes two nights lodging at Maddens, six meals (including the banquet on Monday night), various amenities at Maddens, service charge and tax. Do NOT order meals on the Conference Registration (Step 2) if you will be staying at Maddens as they are included in the package.
LODGING RESERVATIONS for Maddens on Gull Lake occurs directly through the resort. Please click the button on the right for detailed information on cost, payment options, and reservation contacts. Reservation deadline to stay at Maddens is EXTENDED to APRIL 12, 2023. After April 12, please call Madden’s directly to make your reservation: 800-642-5363.
The meal package at Maddens is no longer available.
Step 2: Conference Registration
Conference REGISTRATION indicates your attendance at the conference.
All those attending must complete the Conference Registration.
Active pastors are required to attend this conference. Please complete the Conference Registration at the link to the right.
Active pastors: if you are unable to attend, please complete the Absentee Form in addition to the Conference Registration. The registration fee is payable even if you are unable to attend.
The REGISTRATION FEE for the conference is $50, but increases to $60 on April 25 (next week)! The registration fee is payable even if you are unable to attend. If paying by check, please make your check payable to MNN District and send them to:

Emeritus pastors, chaplains, vicars, and candidates are not required to attend the conference. However, for those wishing to attend, the registration fee is complimentary, but you MUST complete the registration form. You are responsible for lodging and meals at your own cost. If you choose to stay at Maddens, the meals are included in the reservation package. If you are staying off-site but would like to receive meals through Maddens (including the banquet on Monday night), please indicate this on the registration form and make your payment.

DOXOLOGY Speakers
The Rev. David C. Fleming is DOXOLOGY’s Executive Director for Spiritual Care and a Collegium Fellow. He remains a part time pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, MI where he served as Senior Pastor from 1993-2019. He previously served in Warrenville, IL, a Chicago suburb, and is a 1986 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN. He serves on the Concordia University Wisconsin Board of Regents. Rev. Fleming co-wrote “God’s Love at Christmas”, the 2010 Advent-Christmas resource from Concordia Publishing House. Fleming and his wife, Jo Marie, née Wunderlich, have three children and two granddaughters.
Dr. Beverly Yahnke is a clinical psychologist serving DOXOLOGY as the Executive Director for Christian Counsel. From 2010-2015, she was the Chair and Professor of Psychology at Concordia Wisconsin. Previously, Dr. Yahnke spent over 20 years in private practice serving church workers and their families in the clinical group she founded in Milwaukee. Dr. Yahnke has written numerous articles about psychology, education and faith, and is a frequently invited speaker for clergy and educator conferences. In May 2016, Concordia Theological Seminary awarded her with the Doctor of Humane Letters Degree, Honoris Causa. She was elected by the 2016 LCMS convention to serve as a member of Concordia Theological Seminary’s Board of Regents.
Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison
The Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison has served as president of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) since 2010. As president, he is the chief ecclesiastical supervisor of the Synod and is responsible for the national program ministries of the LCMS, including the Office of International Mission, which calls and employs some 150 missionaries globally. President Harrison will address the conference on Tuesday, May 9 at 10:15 am. He will highlight material found in the district visitation book. Please feel free to review areas of interest and prepare any questions. After his presentation, there will be time for Q & A.
Tuesday Recreation & Workshops
At the registration table at Maddens, sign up for FUN! There will be pickle ball and lawn bowling tournaments on Tuesday afternoon. For $10, you can even try axe throwing!
For those who would prefer gathering some information, take in a workshop. Two will be offered: Retirement Strategies at 1:30 pm and Clergy Taxes at 3:00 pm.
